The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has joined millions of Abians in celebrating the 34th anniversary of Abia State, hailing the people’s resilience, the vision of the founding fathers, and the purposeful leadership of Governor Alex Otti.
In a goodwill message on Wednesday, Hon. Ogah described the creation of Abia in 1991 as a historic turning point that provided Ndi Abia with an identity, a platform for self-determination, and opportunities for growth.
He commended the founding fathers of the state for their foresight and sacrifices, noting that their legacy remains a guiding light in Abia’s journey of progress.
“Our founding fathers laid the foundation of God’s Own State with courage, vision, and a desire to see our people prosper. Thirty-four years after, their dream lives on in the resilience and industry of Ndi Abia,” Ogah stated.
The lawmaker also hailed Governor Alex Otti for ushering in what he called “a new era of restoration and responsible leadership.” He expressed confidence that the governor’s reforms in governance, infrastructure, and public accountability are repositioning the state for greatness.
“At 34, Abia is witnessing a rebirth under Governor Alex Otti. His commitment to people-driven governance and transparency gives hope to every Abian that indeed, a new dawn has come,” Hon. Ogah said.
He further urged citizens to remain united, law-abiding, and supportive of the government’s efforts to deliver good governance, stressing that the collective will of the people remains the strongest pillar for sustainable development.
