Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has paid glowing tribute to the state’s founding fathers and past leaders, acknowledging their sacrifices and vision which, he said, have steered the state’s remarkable progress over the past 34 years.

In a message shared on his official Facebook page, the governor described Anambra as a “divine project” and a “bright promise etched into the map of Nigeria.” He noted that despite being one of the smallest states by landmass, Anambra has consistently demonstrated resilience, innovation, and leadership in the country’s development journey.

Reflecting on the state’s history, Soludo commended all former leaders, from its first Military Administrator, Navy Capt. Joseph Abulu, to his immediate predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano, for their contributions to Anambra’s steady growth. He highlighted the state’s achievements in nurturing top entrepreneurs, intellectuals, and cultural icons, while also pointing to its thriving commerce, strong academic institutions, and growing industries.

Calling for unity and collective effort, the governor urged Ndi Anambra to continue building on these foundations with faith and determination. He concluded by wishing the state a happy 34th anniversary, praying for greater prosperity, and reaffirming his vision of a progressive and prosperous homeland for all.
