Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed positive injury news as his side prepare to face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Slot revealed that Conor Bradley and Alexis Mac Allister have returned to training this week, while captain Virgil van Dijk has also been passed fit.
Bradley made his comeback from a minor setback during Monday’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle United, featuring as a substitute after missing two matches. Mac Allister, who sat out that game, has resumed training and is in contention to feature against the Gunners.
Van Dijk, meanwhile, has recovered fully after being on the receiving end of a strong challenge that saw Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon sent off.
Slot assured reporters there were no fresh injury concerns in the squad.
“No, I don’t think so,” he said. “The positive is that Conor Bradley has trained properly this week, Mac Allister has also joined the sessions, and Virgil is fine. We came out of the Newcastle game without any new problems.”
The Reds will be aiming to extend their strong start to the season as they welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, in what is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of the Premier League weekend.
