Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, on Friday presided over the state’s monthly Security Council meeting where the security situation was reviewed and strategies to sustain peace were reinforced.

Security agencies were directed to remain on high alert to prevent criminals fleeing from neighboring states from infiltrating or settling in Abia.

Briefing journalists after the meeting, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Navy Commander MacDonald Uba (Rtd), and the State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, said the forum enabled security agencies to exchange intelligence and harmonize operations.

They urged residents to promptly report suspicious movements, assuring that Abia remains safe and secure under the watch of security operatives.
