Remo Stars have paid tribute to their centre-back and captain, Nduka Junior, following his move to Iraqi side Erbil FC. The club confirmed that an agreement was finalized with Erbil for the transfer of the 23-year-old defender.
Nduka, who spent seven remarkable years with the Sky Blue Stars, played a pivotal role in the club’s rise. He notably captained the team to their maiden Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title last season, cementing his place as one of the most influential figures in the club’s history.
In a farewell message posted on X, Remo Stars lauded Nduka’s contributions, recalling his leadership from their promotion campaign in the Nigeria National League (NNL) to their championship triumph in the NPFL. “Seven years of making history together… leaving as a club legend,” the statement read.
The talented defender sealed a three-year contract with Erbil FC this week, marking a new chapter in his career after an illustrious spell that left a lasting legacy at Remo Stars.
