The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has cautioned members of the public to refrain from offering money or any form of inducement to police personnel while they carry out their official duties.

In a statement, the Command stressed that such actions are illegal and compromise the integrity of policing in the nation’s capital. “It is unlawful to give our officers money or any form of inducement while they are performing their duty. Allow them to discharge their responsibilities diligently, without interference,” the statement read.

The Command further reassured residents of its commitment to professional and transparent service delivery, emphasizing that the Nigeria Police Force remains dedicated to upholding integrity in its operations.

Citizens were also urged to report any misconduct by officers through the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) via 08107314192 or the emergency line 08032003913.
