Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex C. Otti, has presented 28 brand-new vehicles to Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service as part of his administration’s efforts to enhance efficiency and motivation among top government officials. The presentation ceremony was held in Umuahia, where the governor commended the recipients for their dedication to duty.
Governor Otti explained that the gesture was aimed at improving the working conditions of senior civil servants, noting that effective public administration requires well-equipped and motivated officers. He emphasized that the vehicles would aid mobility and ensure smooth coordination of government activities across ministries.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of Abia workers, stressing that they remain vital partners in delivering good governance and driving development initiatives. He added that his government would continue to introduce policies that promote productivity, transparency, and accountability within the civil service.
Governor Otti also urged the Permanent Secretaries to reciprocate the government’s goodwill by redoubling their efforts in service delivery. He reminded them that the administration’s goal is to build a functional and result-oriented civil service capable of meeting the needs of the people of Abia State.
