Leaders and stakeholders of the Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency Forum (U3) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, endorsing them as the party’s sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made on Sunday during a meeting of the forum held in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Moving the motion for the vote of confidence, the member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Francis Waive, praised President Tinubu for his developmental initiatives, particularly the approval of the Federal Medical Centre in Udu. He also commended Governor Oborevwori, describing him as a “hard-working and progressive governor” who, alongside President Tinubu, deserves a second term in office.

Waive urged members to mobilise constituents to actively participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise to secure a resounding victory for both leaders in 2027.

The motion was seconded by Hon. Matthew Omonade, member representing Ughelli North Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly, and was unanimously adopted through a voice vote conducted by the forum’s chairman, Olorogun John Oguma.

In his welcome address, Oguma said the U3 Forum was established to strengthen party unity in the area and ensure the re-election of both Tinubu and Oborevwori. He declared, “In Abuja, there is no vacancy in Aso Rock, and in Asaba, there is no vacancy in Dennis Osadebe House,” stressing the forum’s commitment to winning all five elective positions for the APC in 2027.

Deputy Chairman of the forum and host of the meeting, Chief Eddie Ono Sorhue, appreciated the leadership for the opportunity to host the event, while the forum’s secretary, Hon. Festus Agas, a former Secretary to the Delta State Government, commended members for their dedication and unity.

Also speaking, Udu Local Government Chairman, Chief Vincent Oyibode, lauded the forum’s media sensitisation on voter registration and encouraged members to mobilise their communities to register and obtain voter cards.

Other speakers, including Chief Fred Majemite and former lawmaker Hon. Chris Oghenechovwen, emphasised the importance of unity and grassroots mobilisation for the APC’s success.

The meeting was well attended by political leaders, stakeholders, and party members from Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Local Government Areas.
