Barcelona to Hold Public Training at Partially Completed Camp Nou

Barcelona will return to Camp Nou for the first time in two years with a public training session on November 7, the club announced on Friday.

The session marks the team’s symbolic return to the iconic stadium, which has been undergoing a €1.5 billion renovation. Attendance will be capped at 23,000, far below the 105,000 capacity expected once the project is complete.

Tickets will cost €5 for club members and €10 for the general public, with proceeds benefiting a children’s charity. The club said the event will also serve as a technical test for systems and access points as part of Camp Nou’s gradual reopening.

Renovation delays and safety concerns, including evacuation routes raised by the city’s fire department, have prevented the stadium’s full reopening. The city council has currently approved a maximum capacity of 27,000 spectators, forcing Barça to continue playing at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc.

The delays have cost the financially troubled club significant matchday revenue. Meanwhile, UEFA confirmed that Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena will host the 2028 Champions League final, while London’s Wembley and the renovated Camp Nou are being considered for 2029, with a decision expected in September 2026.
