More than 2,000 less-privileged residents of Wukari Local Government Area in Taraba State have received free healthcare services during a three-day medical outreach organised by the non-governmental organisation, Creation For Good Work (CFGW).

The outreach, which concluded on Sunday at the CRC-N Comprehensive Health Clinic in Wukari, provided beneficiaries with general medical consultations, laboratory tests, eye examinations, free prescription glasses, and 20 successful eye surgeries.

Mrs. Naban Danjuma, co-founder of CFGW, said the organisation—established in 2016 with her husband, Benjamin Gani—was created to support prisoners, orphans, widows, and other vulnerable groups through humanitarian efforts.

Despite financial constraints, Danjuma reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to “reviving hope for the hopeless,” expressing her desire to expand the initiative globally in the future. She also urged wealthy Nigerians to support the needy, emphasizing that acts of compassion align with biblical teachings.

The head of the medical team, Dr. Asideya Gazama of the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Wukari, described the programme as a “life-saving intervention” that has significantly improved access to healthcare in the community.

According to Gazama, “Over 2,000 individuals benefited from free consultations, laboratory tests, medications, and eyeglasses, alongside 20 successful eye surgeries without any complications.”

Some of the beneficiaries, including Moses Adi, Aisha Yusuf, and Adi Sule, expressed profound gratitude to the foundation, praying for divine blessings upon its founders for their efforts in bringing healthcare closer to the people of Taraba State.
