Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is reportedly gearing up for a high-profile return to the ring against social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul, with the clash expected to take place in Miami this December.

According to the Daily Mail, negotiations between Joshua’s team and Paul’s camp are close to being finalized, with December 9 or 12 being the likely dates for the highly anticipated fight.

Joshua has been sidelined since his fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024, which halted his plans to reclaim the heavyweight titles. The British boxing icon has been carefully planning his next move, and this potential bout promises to be one of the most talked-about fights in recent memory.

Jake Paul, who has steadily built a professional boxing career after his rise to fame on YouTube, was initially scheduled to fight Gervonta Davis on November 14. That fight was canceled following serious domestic violence allegations against Davis. Paul now appears poised to face Joshua, creating a blockbuster showdown between a former heavyweight champion and one of boxing’s most polarizing figures.

If confirmed, the fight would mark Joshua’s return after more than a year out of the ring while solidifying Paul’s rise as a serious contender. The matchup is expected to attract massive attention from both traditional boxing fans and Paul’s extensive social media audience, potentially becoming one of the year’s biggest pay-per-view events.
