The winners of the 2025 CAF Awards will be unveiled on Wednesday night in Rabat, Morocco, celebrating the continent’s finest football talents. Returning to the spotlight, Victor Osimhen, the 2023 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, will compete against Egypt and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, and Morocco and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi for the coveted title.
On the women’s side, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is in contention for the Women’s Player of the Year Award, while goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie aims for her third consecutive recognition. The awards will highlight African football performances between January 6 and October 15, 2025, honoring both individual and team achievements.
Categories to be awarded include the best male and female players, goalkeepers, coaches, clubs, national teams, and emerging young talents. The ceremony will take place at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, starting at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT).
Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo and Moroccan comedian Oualass will host the event, featuring performances by Moroccan artist Douaa Lahyaoui, Congolese musician Awilo Longomba, and Ghanaian star Fuse ODG. Winners for select women’s awards, including the Women’s Coach of the Year and Women’s Club of the Year, will be announced later due to the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt.
