Zamfara APC Warns Members Against Anti-Party Activities

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a stern warning to its members against engaging in anti-party activities, saying it will no longer tolerate actions that could cause internal conflict or undermine party unity.

In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the party dismissed a report circulating online alleging that some aggrieved members from Shinkafi Local Government Area had taken the state chapter to court over an “unconstitutional” sanction.

According to the online report, Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi, Kabiru Ibrahim, and Ibrahim D. Kurya were said to have filed a suit (No. ZMS/GS/65/2025) seeking judicial intervention to stop an alleged sanction by the party.

Gusau described the claim as completely false and misleading, insisting that no such disciplinary action or suspension had been taken against any member from Shinkafi. He added that the party had not received any court order related to the issue.

He accused mischievous individuals of fabricating the story to tarnish the APC’s growing positive reputation in the state.

“There is nothing like that,” he said. “It is possible that those spreading the rumour fear they may be sanctioned due to their persistent anti-party activities and their open association with the ruling PDP in the state.”

The party urged members to remain loyal and avoid actions capable of weakening the APC’s cohesion ahead of future political engagements.
