President Bola Tinubu has received the 24 schoolgirls recently rescued in Kebbi State, expressing relief over their safe return and reaffirming his administration’s commitment to ending the spate of school abductions. He commended all those involved in securing the girls’ release and emphasized that protecting students remains a top national priority.

Speaking during the reception, Tinubu said he was grateful that every one of the abducted girls had been found. He stressed that incidents like this highlight the urgent need to strengthen security operations, especially in communities vulnerable to attacks and kidnappings.

The President urged security agencies to intensify their presence and activities in high-risk regions, noting that proactive measures are necessary to prevent future tragedies. According to him, boosting personnel deployment will play a crucial role in discouraging criminal groups targeting schools and rural communities.

Tinubu assured families and citizens that his government is committed to offering all necessary support to security forces in their efforts to rescue those still in captivity across the country. He reiterated that ensuring the safety of children and restoring peace remain central objectives of his administration.
