Elder statesman Chief John Enyogasi has congratulated former Imo State Governor Ikedi Ohakim on the nomination of his wife, Chioma Ohakim, for an ambassadorial role by President Bola Tinubu. Enyogasi described the nomination as a significant recognition of her capabilities and contributions.
In a press statement, he also praised the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for recommending Chioma Ohakim for the federal appointment allocated to the state. He noted that this is the first time a former first lady of Imo State has been considered for such a prominent federal position.
Chief Enyogasi emphasized that the recommendation reflects Governor Uzodimma’s generosity and commitment to inclusivity in both state and federal appointments. He expressed confidence that Chioma Ohakim would perform excellently in representing Nigeria in any foreign country to which she may be posted.
Well-acquainted with the Ohakim family, Enyogasi commended their attention to detail and dedication in past endeavors. He also thanked President Tinubu for the nomination and called on the Senate to give Chioma Ohakim favorable consideration during the screening process.
