Despite the suspension of the exercise, the government urged residents to maintain a high level of environmental cleanliness by regularly cleaning their homes, offices, markets, and business premises in the interest of public health and safety.

The state government also clarified that there would be no restriction of movement on the day, assuring residents of their freedom to go about their lawful activities.

It further appreciated the continued cooperation of citizens and encouraged them to sustain efforts toward keeping Abia State clean and healthy throughout the festive period.
