Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has called on the Nigerian government to suspend all military collaboration with the United States following recent reports of U.S. airstrikes in the country’s northwest region.

Sheikh Gumi warned that continued American involvement in Nigeria’s security operations could escalate tensions, compromise national sovereignty, and worsen the existing security challenges. He urged the federal authorities to exercise caution in engaging foreign military powers and prioritize Nigerian-led strategies to address security threats.
