Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has inaugurated five new Special Advisers in a move aimed at reinforcing governance structures and improving service delivery across the state.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government House in Port Harcourt and brought together experienced technocrats and political figures with strong backgrounds in public administration and governance.
The newly appointed advisers are Barrister Eloka Tasie-Amadi, a former Commissioner for Works; Professor Peter Medee, who previously served as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning; Barrister Emmanuel Frank Fubara, former Commissioner for Finance; Victor Ekaro, former Special Adviser on Security to ex-Governor Nyesom Wike; and Dr. Darlington Oji, former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area.
Addressing the appointees, Governor Fubara urged them to deploy their experience and expertise in advancing his administration’s agenda. He stressed the importance of professionalism, commitment, and loyalty to the people of Rivers State in the discharge of their duties.
The governor explained that the appointments form part of a broader strategy to consolidate reforms in critical sectors such as infrastructure development, economic planning, financial management, security, and grassroots administration.
The new Special Advisers are to assume their responsibilities immediately, working closely with relevant ministries, departments, and agencies to drive the government’s policies and development goals.
