Hon Lucky Johnson, the member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their impressive performance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they defeated Egypt to secure the bronze medal.

He described the victory as a powerful display of resilience, discipline and the unbreakable Nigerian spirit that continues to define the nation’s football on the continental stage.

According to him, the team’s ability to recover from their semi final setback and defeat a strong Egyptian side reflects their mental strength, character and determination. He noted that football is not always about predictions, but about belief, preparation and the courage to rise after disappointment.

Hon Johnson said the third place finish at AFCON 2025 has once again reaffirmed Nigeria’s position as a dominant force in African football. He praised the players, technical crew and support staff for their professionalism, unity and dedication throughout the competition, which he said brought pride and joy to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

He also commended the Nigeria Football Federation and other stakeholders for their roles, urging them to build on the positives recorded at the tournament as preparations begin for future competitions.

Reaffirming his commitment to sports development, Hon Lucky Johnson said he would continue to support policies and initiatives that promote grassroots and professional sports across Isuikwuato. He concluded by congratulating the Super Eagles once again and wishing them greater success in their future engagements.
