The UEFA Europa League league phase has wrapped up, and the list of 12 teams eliminated from this season’s competition has been confirmed following the final round of fixtures. After 36 clubs contested the league stage to decide progression to the knockout rounds, the bottom 12 sides in the standings failed to advance and are now out of European competition for the season.
Among those exiting are Rangers, Feyenoord, RB Salzburg, Young Boys, Basel, Sturm Graz, Nice, FC Utrecht, Malmö FF, Go Ahead Eagles, FCSB, and Maccabi Tel‑Aviv. These clubs finished in the bottom positions of the league phase and did not qualify for the knockout playoffs.
The conclusion of the league phase also confirmed the teams moving forward: the top eight sides automatically secured a place in the Round of 16, while 16 others will compete in two‑legged knockout play‑off ties next month to earn their spot in the last 16.
