Nigeria’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has praised the EIB Group for its expanding contributions to locally developed defence technology and private-sector security innovation.

Aneke gave the commendation during a strategic visit to the Group’s facilities in Kuje and Idu, Abuja, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and indigenous technology companies in support of national security goals.

The tour offered the Air Chief an opportunity to assess firsthand EIB Group’s growing operations in security services, forensic intelligence, and unmanned aerial systems development. The delegation was received by the Group’s Chairman, Dr Bright Echefu, alongside senior executives, who guided them through key operational units across the company’s subsidiaries.

At EIB Stratoc, officials reviewed surveillance and security operations, while Giga Forensics showcased advanced forensic intelligence and data analytics capabilities. At Briech UAS, the delegation was briefed on the design, production, and deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles, including surveillance and payload drones used for reconnaissance and operational support.

The team also visited Poctova, the Group’s protective-wear subsidiary, where ballistic protective gear and functional apparel are locally produced for both security personnel and civilian use.

Speaking at the end of the tour, Air Marshal Aneke described the innovations on display as “impressive,” noting that the technologies reflect Nigeria’s growing capacity to develop competitive defence and security solutions.

“The capabilities we have seen here can meaningfully support the operations of the Nigerian Air Force,” Aneke said. “We intend to deepen engagement to identify areas for practical collaboration and technology integration.”

He further commended EIB Group’s investment in infrastructure, research, and workforce development, stressing that indigenous technology firms are critical to strengthening Nigeria’s security framework and reducing dependence on foreign systems.

Under the leadership of Dr Bright Echefu, EIB Group has continued to expand its role within Nigeria’s defence and intelligence ecosystem, positioning itself as a key partner in the country’s push for security advancement and technological self-reliance.
