A senior leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to remove most of his current commissioners and special advisers, citing poor performance. The party figure stressed that a shake-up is necessary to improve efficiency in the state’s administration.
Ben Obi, the APGA chieftain, claimed that over 80% of the current cabinet has failed to meet expectations. He urged the governor to bring in new appointees who can inject fresh ideas and drive results in the government’s programs and initiatives.
Obi also recommended that current local government chairmen and councillors be barred from contesting in upcoming elections. He argued that this measure would create opportunities for more capable leaders and ensure that governance at all levels is effective.
The call comes as Governor Soludo prepares for his second term, with party members and stakeholders closely watching how he will restructure his team to meet the state’s development goals.
