Ondo Commends Tinubu Over Troop Deployment to Insecurity-Hit Communities

The Ondo State Government has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deploying military personnel to communities affected by terrorism and banditry across the country.

The state government said the move underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, stressing that violence must not be allowed to threaten national unity or peaceful coexistence.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, Ondo State also expressed condolences to the Kwara State Government over the recent attack on Woro community, which resulted in loss of lives and disruption of peace.

Ajanaku conveyed the sympathy of the Ondo State Government to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and the people of Kwara State, while calling for sustained efforts to restore security in affected areas.

Meanwhile, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of 32 senior civil servants as permanent secretaries in the Ondo State civil service.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, Aiyedatiwa also confirmed the appointments of Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General and Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Government Councils, subject to confirmation by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries include Tayo Ogundare, Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Oluwakemi Akinyemi and Bamidele Daisi.

Others are Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Oluseyi Odusola, Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr Abike Ilawole, Abimbola Tofowomo and Kolawole Kayode.

The remaining appointees are Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Toyin Awotoye and Ayodeji Ayeku.
