Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El‑Rufai has publicly denied any role in the abduction of Dadiyata, after allegations surfaced suggesting his involvement in the matter.

In a statement released to the media, El‑Rufai dismissed the accusations as unfounded and politically motivated. He said he has no connection to the reported kidnapping and urged the public to be cautious about misinformation that could inflame tensions.

The former governor also called for a thorough and transparent investigation by relevant authorities to determine the facts of the case. He emphasised that speculation and rumours should not be allowed to jeopardise public safety or distract from efforts to secure Dadiyata’s release.

Supporters and political allies have echoed El‑Rufai’s call for calm, urging respect for due process as security agencies pursue leads to bring the abducted individual back safely.

The situation continues to draw attention as residents and stakeholders await updates from law enforcement on the progress of rescue efforts.
