The 2027 Abia Governorship Aspirant Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu has extended heartfelt Valentine’s Day greetings to the people of Abia State, urging citizens to embrace love, unity and collective responsibility in the ongoing pursuit of progress and development.
In his goodwill message released on Friday, the renowned businessman and public figure described Valentine’s Day as more than a celebration of affection between individuals, but a symbolic reminder of the values of compassion, service, and shared destiny that bind communities together.
Chief Kalu noted that Abia’s strength lies in the resilience, enterprise and enduring spirit of its people, emphasizing that genuine love for the state must be expressed through peaceful coexistence, civic engagement, and support for initiatives that advance the common good.
He called on Abians at home and in the diaspora to use the occasion to renew their commitment to unity, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of mutual respect and collective vision. According to him, the season presents an opportunity to extend kindness to the less privileged and foster harmony across political, social and cultural lines.
“Valentine’s Day reminds us that love is not only personal but also communal,” he stated. “Let us show greater compassion to one another, support our communities, and remain steadfast in our shared aspiration for a more prosperous and peaceful Abia.”
Chief Kalu further encouraged youths to remain hopeful and focused, highlighting the importance of innovation, hard work and patriotism in shaping the future of the state. He also urged leaders across all sectors to prioritize people-centered policies and inclusive growth.
Reaffirming his enduring connection with the people of Abia, he prayed for continued peace, economic advancement and social harmony across the state, expressing confidence that with unity of purpose, Abia will achieve greater milestones.
He concluded by wishing all Abians a peaceful and love-filled Valentine’s Day, marked by renewed hope, solidarity and a collective commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous society.
