Security presence has been significantly increased across parts of Adamawa State as authorities prepare for the arrival of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu. Major access routes and busy junctions are now under close watch, with armed personnel and patrol vehicles positioned to control movement and prevent security breaches.

Residents in and around Yola reported early-morning checkpoints and temporary traffic diversions as officers began coordinated operations across key corridors. Commuters experienced slower travel times as vehicles were screened and certain routes partially restricted for security coordination.

Officials said the measures are preventive and designed to ensure a smooth and incident-free presidential engagement. Multiple tactical and response units have been assigned to sensitive locations, public venues, and government facilities expected to be part of the visit schedule.

Members of the public have been advised to remain calm, follow traffic guidance, and cooperate with officers on duty. Authorities stressed that the restrictions are temporary and will be relaxed once official activities linked to the visit are completed.
