The ACReSAL project has distributed over ₦223 million in interest‑free loans to community groups in Gombe State to strengthen rural economies and enhance resilience.

The funds were provided to 10 Community Interest Groups under a revolving credit scheme, with most recipients investing in agriculture-related businesses. The initiative has created nearly 2,000 jobs while allowing groups to repay and make funds available for others.

The programme also supports mechanisation, providing modern tractors to local governments to assist farmers with land preparation. Other interventions include distributing drought-resistant seeds, rehabilitating irrigation systems, and introducing greenhouse and livestock facilities to diversify income sources.

Project coordinators say these efforts are improving food production, expanding water access, and building a sustainable foundation for agricultural growth across the state.
