The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress has put on hold the scheduled ward, local government, and state congresses earlier planned to take place in Abia State.
The decision was communicated by the party’s National Working Committee, which said the exercise would no longer go ahead as previously arranged. No immediate replacement dates were announced at the time of the notice.
Party officials indicated that further directives and a revised timetable would be provided after internal consultations are concluded. Stakeholders at different levels have been advised to await fresh guidance from the national body.
The move affects the party’s internal leadership selection process across all tiers in the state, pending a new schedule from the national headquarters.
