A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT27, has launched a financial support initiative in parts of Ondo State to strengthen voter registration efforts and build grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group said the initiative is aimed at enhancing political mobilisation at the grassroots level while reinforcing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Director-General of the group, Adojutelegan Adesuyi, disclosed this during the commencement of the second phase of the group’s ward tour across Ondo State, which included visits to Akoko South East and Akoko South West Local Government Areas.
Adesuyi explained that the ward tour was designed to strengthen the party’s presence at the grassroots and enable direct engagement with community stakeholders.
Speaking to party members and supporters during the visits, he commended grassroots members for their continued loyalty to the APC and the Tinubu administration. He urged them to remain committed to promoting the President’s Renewed Hope agenda.
According to him, the tour also aims to deepen unity within the party’s structures and encourage wider participation in the democratic process, particularly through voter registration.
As part of the initiative, the group announced financial support for party mobilisation activities in the two local government areas. Akoko South East received a donation of ₦1 million, while Akoko South West was given ₦1.5 million to support efforts to mobilise eligible voters to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections.
The Coordinator for Akoko South East, Muyideen Suleiman, praised the leadership of the support group for bringing the mobilisation programme to the grassroots, assuring that members in the area would intensify efforts to increase voter registration and strengthen support for the party.
Similarly, the Coordinator for Akoko South West, Comrade Afolabi Emmanuel, reaffirmed the commitment of party members in the area to the group’s objectives and pledged continued mobilisation of residents in support of President Tinubu’s administration.
Other party stakeholders who spoke at the event encouraged members and residents to remain supportive of the President’s policies and programmes while staying actively involved in party activities.
Publicity Secretary of BTO4PBAT27, Folajimi Adewumi Gbenga, said the second phase of the ward tour is part of the group’s broader strategy to strengthen grassroots structures, promote voter awareness, and consolidate support for the administration across Ondo State.
The event was attended by party leaders, youth and women groups, and other stakeholders who reaffirmed their loyalty and commitment to advancing the APC and the Renewed Hope agenda.
