Galatasaray’s star forward Victor Osimhen and his teammates have been promised a €5 million bonus by club president Dursun Özbek if they eliminate Liverpool FC from the UEFA Champions League and reach the quarter-finals.

The incentive was agreed after Galatasaray secured a 1‑0 first‑leg win against Liverpool, with Osimhen playing a key role by assisting the only goal in that match. Reports say Osimhen himself pushed for the bonus to be offered to the squad, and Özbek accepted the proposal.

Advancing in the competition would also bring a substantial financial windfall for the Istanbul club, as UEFA awards additional prize money to teams that make it to later stages.

Galatasaray now heads to the return leg at Anfield on March 18, where Osimhen and company will try to secure a win or a draw to complete the upset and earn the promised reward.
