The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is reportedly preparing a new contract offer for Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, which could significantly boost his monthly pay. Negotiations are ongoing as both parties try to agree on suitable terms.
Under the current discussions, the federation is willing to raise Chelle’s salary to around $100,000 per month if he accepts the adjusted terms. This proposal aims to balance the coach’s expectations with the NFF’s budget limits.
Chelle had initially requested a higher pay increase that would also cover his technical team, but the federation appears hesitant to exceed the proposed figure. If Chelle declines the offer, the NFF may consider hiring a foreign replacement.
The coach’s future with the national team remains uncertain as both sides work to finalize the agreement ahead of upcoming international fixtures. Chelle has expressed his desire to continue leading the Eagles despite the ongoing contract discussions.
