The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, Dr. Paul Enenche, has expressed amazement at the transformation of Aba, Abia State’s commercial hub, particularly its improved cleanliness. He also commended Governor Alex Otti for what he described as his commitment to God and the welfare of the people.
Pastor Enenche, alongside his wife, Dr. Becky Paul-Enenche, is currently in Umuahia for a two-day Healing and Miracle Crusade themed “God of Mercy,” taking place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, which is undergoing renovation by the state government.
Speaking on Thursday, March 19, the cleric recounted his recent visit to Aba, where he had ministered before proceeding to Umuahia. He noted that the city, once known for visible refuse dumps, now appears significantly cleaner and more organised.
“I asked myself, ‘Is this Aba?’ The streets are clean, and the heaps of rubbish that used to line the roads are no longer there. I even saw water fountains at roundabouts,” he said.
Pastor Enenche further spoke of what he described as a divine plan for Abia State, particularly Aba, predicting a future marked by industrial growth, manufacturing, and economic transformation capable of attracting global attention.
He praised Governor Otti for demonstrating “a heart for God and the people,” expressing confidence that the ongoing developments would position the state as a source of pride for Nigeria.
At the crusade, Governor Alex Otti welcomed the cleric and his wife, thanking them for their prayers and contributions. He attributed the reported healings and restoration at the event to God, emphasizing humility in leadership and service.
“We may plant and others may water, but the increase comes from God,” the governor said.
Otti also appreciated residents for their continued support, describing his administration as people-focused and free from political godfatherism.
He acknowledged the commendation on Aba’s cleanliness but noted that more work lies ahead. According to him, Umuahia is also undergoing significant transformation, with plans to soon commission the Umuahia Central Bus Terminal, which he described as one of the largest in the country.
Drawing from biblical references, the governor encouraged residents to remain steadfast despite criticism or opposition, assuring them that ongoing efforts to rebuild the state would succeed.
“We return all glory to God,” he said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to development.
Several top government officials were present at the crusade.
