Tension surrounding the Benin Palace has intensified after Queen (Oloi) Owamagbe Ewuare released a letter she says confirms that popular streamer Peller’s recent visit was officially approved.
The letter, sent ahead of the March 3, 2026 visit, reportedly informed palace authorities of Peller’s planned appearance and requested a brief audience with the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II. It also stated that Uyi Ekpen Ogiefa, son of a Benin chief, would accompany the streamer. According to the Queen, the document carries a palace stamp, indicating that proper procedures were followed.
In a strongly worded Instagram post, Queen Ewuare dismissed claims by the Benin Traditional Council that the visit was unauthorized, describing such assertions as misleading. She also hinted that underlying issues, not yet made public, may be responsible for the controversy.
As reactions continue to trail the incident online, the Queen reassured supporters, suggesting that the situation is more complex than it appears and that further details may emerge in due course.
