KwaZulu-Natal residents are being warned to prepare for another spell of severe weather as conditions are expected to worsen from Saturday into Sunday.
The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for the western and far northern parts of the province, indicating the likelihood of disruptive weather.
Forecaster Sihle Dlamini said the province could experience heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and strong winds. These conditions may result in localised damage to infrastructure and homes, as well as flooding on roads and bridges prone to water buildup.
Dlamini noted that there is a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms across the province on Saturday, with similar conditions expected on Sunday, mainly affecting the western regions. He added that the warning currently in place covers the western parts through to Sunday, while earlier alerts were focused on the far northern areas.
Residents are advised to remain cautious and stay updated on weather developments as conditions evolve.
