Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned cleric, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, describing his demise as an “infillable gap” in the body of Christ and the nation at large.

Chief Kalu made this known shortly after the Night of Songs and Tribute held in honour of the late God’s General, where family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate a life of impact, faith, and service to humanity.

In his message of condolence, Kalu extended heartfelt sympathies to the widow of the late cleric, Pastor Mrs. Philomena Uma Ukpai, acknowledging her strength and dedication throughout the years of ministry alongside her husband. He prayed for divine comfort and grace upon her and the entire Ukpai family during this difficult time.

He noted that Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai lived a life fully devoted to God and humanity, touching countless lives through evangelism, philanthropy, and spiritual mentorship. According to him, the late preacher’s legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

Chief Kalu further emphasized that the vacuum created by the passing of Rev. Ukpai would be difficult to fill, given his unique role in advancing the gospel and fostering unity among believers across Nigeria and beyond.

He concluded by urging Christians to uphold the values and teachings exemplified by the late cleric, stressing that the greatest honour to his memory would be to continue in the path of righteousness, service, and unwavering faith.
