A former federal lawmaker, Sam Ifeanyichukwu Onuigbo, has announced his bid to represent Abia Central in the Senate during the 2027 general elections, signaling a return to frontline politics.

The declaration was made at a gathering held in Ikwuano Local Government Area, where party members, community leaders, and supporters converged to witness the formal unveiling of his ambition under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Addressing the crowd, Onuigbo stressed the need for purposeful and people-oriented leadership, noting that his focus would be on delivering measurable development and strengthening the voice of Abia Central at the national level.

He also called for unity within the party and urged constituents to support a vision centered on progress, accountability, and inclusive governance as preparations for the 2027 polls gradually gather momentum.
