Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday handed over 14 brand-new utility vehicles to permanent secretaries in the state civil service. The distribution, held at the Government House in Akure, was described by the governor as a “symbolic gesture” aimed at enhancing productivity within the public service.
Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that the initiative was part of his administration’s commitment to empowering civil servants for greater efficiency and smoother operations. He also announced that the same benefit would be extended to four retired permanent secretaries who served under his administration.
“This gesture is to support you in carrying out your duties effectively and with ease. As leaders in the public service, we want to ensure you deliver on your responsibilities promptly and effectively,” he said.
The Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, commended the governor for his continuous support of the civil service, praising his dedication to the state’s progress. Also speaking, Mrs. Foluke Tunde-Daramola, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, lauded the gesture as part of the governor’s “Our EASE” agenda and pledged loyalty and commitment to the administration’s goals.
