In a bid to promote sustainable economic growth and attract vital investments, the Abia State Government will host the Abia Business Roundtable 2026, a strategic gathering aimed at fostering stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors. Scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia, the event is expected to be a game-changer for the state’s economic trajectory.

Themed “Government Meets Business: Where Vision Meets Enterprise,” the Roundtable will be led by Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, alongside Mr. Chinedum Chijioke, Director-General/CEO of the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) & Investment Promotion Office. This high-level forum will provide an opportunity for business leaders to engage directly with the Governor and his economic team, offering real-time insights into key policies that will shape the state’s growth in the coming years.

Governor Otti’s administration has made economic transformation a top priority, and the Roundtable will emphasize the importance of public-private partnerships as a driver for inclusive prosperity. The event will also highlight the administration’s efforts to position Abia as an attractive destination for both local and international investors.

The Roundtable serves as a demonstration of Abia’s commitment to strengthening its economic foundation, empowering local enterprises, and ensuring that the state’s development is driven by inclusive collaboration between government and business stakeholders.
