The Association of Professional Photographers of Abia State (APPAS) recently marked the 2025 World Photography Day with a vibrant celebration, featuring a collaborative effort with the Abia State government. Speaking in an interview, APPAS President Deacon Origin Kenneth Chinweoke emphasized that August 19th is a significant date recognized globally, dedicated to celebrating the art of photography.

This year’s festivities were enhanced by the support of the Abia State government, which provided an ASEPA vehicle and equipment used to tour the city in honor of the occasion. Deacon Chinweoke expressed gratitude to Governor Alex Otti for his invaluable assistance in making the event a success.

Highlighting the significance of this year’s celebration, the APPAS president remarked, “This year’s World Photography Day has been the best yet.” He extended his heartfelt thanks to participants from around the world who joined the Abia State community in honoring this artistic endeavor.
