Fulham are reportedly keen on signing Basel winger Philip Otele, with club scouts present during the Swiss side’s UEFA Champions League playoff clash against FC Copenhagen earlier this week. The Premier League outfit is now weighing up the possibility of submitting a formal offer for the talented forward.
The West London club, managed by Marco Silva, is not alone in their pursuit. Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are also monitoring Otele closely, setting the stage for potential transfer competition between the two European clubs as the summer window progresses.
Otele, a 26-year-old Nigerian, has seen his stock rise significantly since joining Basel. Initially signed on loan from UAE-based Al-Wahda in January 2025, his impressive performances – scoring nine goals in just 18 league games – prompted the Swiss club to make the move permanent.
Basel have now placed a €15 million price tag on the winger, reflecting his growing influence and potential. With Fulham seeking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season, Otele’s explosive pace and finishing ability have made him a key target.
