Galatasaray Chief Rejects Rumours of Unpaid Wages for Osimhen and Teammates

Galatasaray’s president, Dursun Özbek, has strongly refuted circulating reports suggesting that the Turkish club owes star forward Victor Osimhen and several other players outstanding wages. According to Özbek, the club has fulfilled all salary obligations and the rumours are unfounded and misleading.

Addressing the situation, Özbek dismissed the speculation as harmful to the club’s reputation, saying that Galatasaray honours its financial commitments, including bonuses and incentives, without delay. He reiterated that no player has gone unpaid, and any claims otherwise are exaggerated.

The denials come after media outlets hinted at financial strain within the team and alleged delays in wage payments — particularly for high-profile signings like Osimhen. However, the club president maintained there is no truth to these claims and emphasised that such stories create unnecessary tension.

Osimhen, who has been influential for the team this season, has not publicly commented on the wage speculation, choosing to remain focused on on-field performances as Galatasaray competes on multiple fronts.
