In a remarkable display of solidarity, Chinese rapper Apmozart paused his concert to aid a woman who reported experiencing sexual harassment at the event, as reported by the South China Morning Post (SCMP). The 21-year-old artist was performing in Hangzhou, located in Zhejiang province, when the incident unfolded.
According to SCMP, Apmozart noticed the woman during his performance and initially believed she was simply waving to him as a fan. He handed her the microphone, only for her to deliver a startling revelation to the audience. The woman accused a stranger in the crowd of harassing her, stating, “The pervert ‘discharged’ onto my leg.” She went on to provide a description of the alleged perpetrator, noting that he was overweight, dressed in grey clothing, and had oily hair.
Apmozart’s decisive response has earned him widespread praise across social media, highlighting the importance of addressing and confronting issues of sexual harassment in public spaces. This incident not only underscores the rapper’s commitment to his fans but also amplifies the ongoing conversation surrounding the safety of women at live events.
