The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged victims of the defunct cryptocurrency trading platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), to report to its offices in Ibadan and Lagos to support ongoing investigations.

This appeal was made in a statement issued on Friday by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

According to Oyewale, the commission is currently prosecuting three individuals—Adefowora Olanipekun, Otorudo Avwerosuo, and Ehirim Chukwuebuka—over their alleged roles in the fraudulent scheme. He noted that CBEX deceived unsuspecting Nigerians into investing money with the false promise of extraordinary returns, leading to significant financial losses.

The statement further requested that all victims who invested through agents or offices linked to CBEX in Ibadan and Idimu, Lagos, should visit the EFCC’s Ibadan or Lagos Zonal Directorates to provide relevant information and aid the investigation.
