Popular Nigerian cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has stirred debate after declaring that oral sex between married couples is not sinful.

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International made the remark during a question-and-answer session at the church’s headquarters in Auchi, Edo State.

A video clip of the session, uploaded to YouTube on August 22, 2025, shows a female congregant asking: “Daddy, Sir, is oral sex a sin?” Apostle Suleman, smiling, responded: “Anything you do with your wife indoors is not a sin. So long as she’s your wife and both of you agree to do it, it is not a sin.”

The cleric further backed his position with biblical references, saying: “When the Bible was talking about the wife of your youth, it was talking about ‘go within thy walls, let thy hands pass through her cisterns.’ What do you think the Bible was saying? So long as it is not fetish, ritualistic or diabolic, it is not a sin.”

Suleman’s comment has since attracted wide attention online, sparking discussions on marital intimacy and religious interpretations.
