Text: Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Teaching:
One of the greatest struggles in life is the temptation to depend on our own wisdom, knowledge, and experience. Many times, we believe we know what is best for us, yet God reminds us that His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). True peace and direction come when we surrender our reasoning to God’s perfect will.
When you trust God wholeheartedly, you allow Him to order your steps, even when the road ahead looks unclear. Trust is not passive—it is active dependence, choosing to rest in God’s promises even when circumstances seem confusing.
Like Abraham who stepped out without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8), trusting God requires faith that He knows the end from the beginning. It means replacing fear with faith, anxiety with prayer, and confusion with surrender.
Lesson for Today:
Trusting God requires letting go of control. Acknowledge Him in every decision, big or small. God’s guidance is sure, and He never leads His children astray.
Prayer:
Father, today I choose to trust You above my own understanding. Direct my steps, calm my heart, and help me to walk in Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
