Scottish giants Celtic have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho on a one-year deal, just 24 hours after the closure of the Scottish transfer window.
The move provides much-needed attacking reinforcement for Brendan Rodgers, who has been keen on strengthening his frontline ahead of a busy campaign.
Iheanacho’s arrival also marks a reunion with Rodgers, under whom he enjoyed the best scoring season of his career at Leicester City, netting 12 Premier League goals in the 2020/21 campaign.
The 27-year-old is expected to bring experience, versatility, and a proven eye for goal as Celtic aim to defend their domestic crown and make a strong impression in European competition this season.
