Argentina captain Lionel Messi has celebrated Ousmane Dembele’s victory in the 2025 Ballon d’Or, expressing his happiness for the French forward.

Messi, who shared the pitch with Dembele during their time together at Barcelona, congratulated his former teammate after the award ceremony held on Monday at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Dembele claimed the prestigious title ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who finished second, and Vitinha, who secured third place.
