As part of activities marking his 45th birthday, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, the former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 elections, celebrated with widows in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
The event, which was both heartfelt and uplifting, served as a reminder that they are not forgotten, and that “God still hears their prayers,” according to Dr. Anyaso.
“I want you all to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He will continue to use people, even imperfect vessels like me to reach out to you against all odds,” Anyaso told the women during the gathering.
In his address, Dr. Anyaso encouraged the widows to remain steadfast in their faith and identity in Christ, assuring them that despite the loss of their husbands, they still have a future filled with hope.
“God says in His word that He is a husband to the widow. Do not lose sight of who you are in Christ Jesus,” he said. “You can still become the woman you have always prayed to be. Stay strong for your children. I may not have all the answers, but my shoulder will always be here when you call.”
The widows, visibly touched by the gesture, offered fervent prayers for the young philanthropist and entrepreneur. Many expressed their gratitude, describing the visit as timely and deeply reassuring.
“He didn’t just come with gifts; he came with a message of hope and reminded us that we matter,” one of the beneficiaries said. “May God continue to bless and protect him.”
Dr. Anyaso’s gesture has been widely praised as a mark of inclusive leadership and compassion, reinforcing his reputation as a man with a heart for the people.
“True leadership is about inclusion, compassion, and service,” a community elder noted. “Dr. Anyaso continues to lead by example.”
As he celebrated another year of life, Anyaso used the occasion not just to receive gifts, but to give back further cementing his role as a voice for the voiceless and a bridge for the brokenhearted.
