The Southeast Youth Forum (SEYF) has expressed strong support for Hon. Obi Aguocha, urging him to remain steadfast in his advocacy for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In a statement issued to newsmen on Saturday, the President of the Forum Barr Ogbonnaya Uwakwe commended Aguocha’s courage at the National Assembly, describing his voice as a source of hope and reassurance to millions of people in the Southeast who feel deeply affected by Kanu’s continued detention.

“Hon. Aguocha must not be discouraged. His boldness and consistency have shown that there are still leaders who are willing to stand for justice, fairness and the freedom of our people,” the Forum declared.

The group noted that the prolonged detention of Kanu has left many young people disillusioned, adding that Aguocha’s interventions have rekindled belief that peaceful and lawful channels can still yield justice.

They called on the Federal Government to listen to the growing calls for dialogue and reconciliation, stressing that true peace and unity can only be achieved when issues of justice are addressed with sincerity.

The Forum further appealed to other Southeast leaders to rally around Aguocha’s efforts, stating that “history will not forget those who spoke up when silence would have been easier
