Lawmakers in the Bauchi State House of Assembly have appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed to approve the construction of the 22-kilometre Bakalang–Gekil–Wuroladde road in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area.
The appeal came after a motion by Abdulrashid Mu’azu, member representing Lere/Bula Constituency, who described the road as a critical link to markets, schools, and health facilities.
Mu’azu lamented that the road’s poor condition had severely hindered socio-economic activities in the affected communities. His motion was seconded by Barrister Habibu Umar of Kirfi Constituency, while Musa Wakili Nakwada of Bogoro Constituency praised the initiative, highlighting its potential to improve the lives of rural dwellers.
Following deliberations, the Assembly unanimously adopted the motion and resolved to forward its request to the executive for necessary action.
